fun. Unveils North American Tour Dates Starting February 29th

fun. has announced details of their upcoming North American tour. The headline trek begins February 29th at South Burlington, Vermont’s Higher Ground and then continues through early May (see itinerary below). The dates celebrate the upcoming release of the band’s eagerly awaited Fueled By Ramen debut, Some Nights. The album – which includes the breakthrough single, “We Are Young (feat. Janelle Monáe)” – arrives in stores and at all digital retailers on February 21st, 2012. A complete tracklisting for Some Nights has just been announced (see below).

Having earned widespread acclaim with their 2009 debut album, Aim and Ignite, fun. decided to raise the stakes with Some NIghts by teaming with noted producer Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Drake). The band and Bhasker have worked to evolve the idiosyncratic fun. sound by marrying their robust melodies with elements of hip-hop.

“We Are Young (feat. Janelle Monáe),” which is available now via all major digital retailers, has received major airplay from KCRW’s influential Morning Becomes Eclectic, while USA Today applauded the “baroque indie-popsters” for “(making) a counterintuitive play for the big time, slowing down for the massive sing-along chorus.”

fun. has announced the upcoming release of their eagerly awaited album:  SOME NIGHTS arrives in stores and at all digital retailers on February 21st, 2012.

The first single from SOME NIGHTS, “We Are Young (Feat. Janelle Monáe),” is available now via all digital retailers. The single has already generated quite a buzz, hitting the top 3 on The Hype Machine music blog aggregator in its first week of release, not to mention the top 5 on iTunes’ “Top Alternative Songs” sales ranking. Produced by Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Drake), “We Are Young (Feat. Janelle Monáe)” is available now via iTunes and all digital retailers. The critically acclaimed indie pop combo will celebrate the track’s release by joining their “We Are Young” collaborator, Janelle Monáe, on Reverb’s upcoming Campus Consciousness Tour. The 15-date college tour will hit campuses in the Midwest and along the East Coast through October (see attached itinerary). The biannual Campus Consciousness Tour (CCT) is both a concert and social consciousness campaign, aimed at offering students a message of environmental sustainability. In addition to supporting Monáe, fun. will take part in the CCT daytime activities by performing a free acoustic set at a central location on each campus the tour visits. As if all that weren’t enough, fun. will herald their new album with a very special sold-out hometown headline show, slated for November 9th at New York’s famed Bowery Ballroom. Panic! At The Disco and fun. Team Up For New Single; Tour Kicks Off May 20

In anticipation of their Spring tour together, Panic! At The Disco and fun. have collaborated on a new song together.  The track, "C'mon," premiered exclusively on Spin.com today and will be released in iTunes this Tuesday, May 17. The tour kicks off Saturday, May 20 in Philadelphia (full list of tour dates below). 

Spin.com writes, "The duet combines the orchestral drama of Panic! with the pop smarts of fun., as the bands' frontmen Brendon Urie and Nate Ruess, respectively, croon about the redeeming powers of love over piano, strings, and a big rising melody."

In anticipation of their major headline tour that launches September 29, fun. has a special treat for their rabid fans today. The pop/rock trio have re-released their debut album Aim & Ignite with the additions of brand new track "Stitch Me Up," an acoustic version of album track "Take Your Time," two remixes from RAC and two music videos ("All The Pretty Girls" and "Walking The Dog" (above)). Fun. To Support Paramore In The UK, Alongside B.O.B.

Fun. will be joining B.O.B. as support for Paramore's UK tour this fall. Having recently toured with Paramore in the US, fun. will be opening for the band on all their arena dates.  As previously reported, fun. is currently preparing for their US headlining tour.

fun. Adds Dates To Upcoming Headlining Tour; Steel Train Added As Support

As previously reported, fun. will kick things off in September with a 31-city headlining tour.  The tour now includes stops in Spokane, San Diego, and Webster Hall in New York City .  As an added bonus for attendees, the band has brought on opening acts that lie very close to their heart. The tour will feature New Jersey-born band, Steel Train – an indie rock group fronted by fun. guitarist, Jack Antonoff. To round out the bill, the band has also invited Jarrod Gorbel, the Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter behind indie act The Honorary Title.

Fresh off sold-out tour dates around the UK release of their critically acclaimed debut album Aim And Ignite, the pop-rock trio known as fun. has announced a fall US headline tour, starting September 29 in South Burlington, VT. The band has been on the road for most of 2010, touring with artists like Jack’s Mannequin, Motion City Soundtrack and most recently Paramore. They also appeared at Bamboozle in May, where RollingStone.com chose them as one of “Five Breakout Bands To Watch” and Spin.com named them one of their “25 Must-Hear Artists At Bamboozle.”

The trio of Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost, and Jack Antonoff will also make a special appearance in Brooklyn, NY at The Bell House for a FREE show (18+) on September 30th. fun. have just revealed two brand new remixes from Remix Artist Collective (RAC) for the tracks “All The Pretty Girls” and “Walking The Dog.”

The pop-rock trio were recently in Los Angeles filming their second video for the track “Walking The Dog,” and in anticipation of the videos release, the band has launched a new contest to challenge their super creative fanbase. They are asking their fans to help create a video for the RAC remix of “Walking The Dog” by submitting a 30-second or shorter clip inspired by the track. The best clips will be edited together to make the first ever fun. fanmade video that will premiere on Nettwerk’s YouTube Channel (date TBA). For submission guidelines, click HERE.

The two RAC remixes will be included as bonus tracks exclusively on the iTunes UK release of fun.'s debut album Aim & Ignite, out June 7 in the UK.
