Fun. will be joining B.O.B. as support for Paramore's UK tour this fall. Having recently toured with Paramore in the US, fun. will be opening for the band on all their arena dates. As previously reported, fun. is currently preparing for their US headlining tour.
As previously reported, fun. will kick things off in September with a 31-city headlining tour. The tour now includes stops in Spokane, San Diego, and Webster Hall in New York City . As an added bonus for attendees, the band has brought on opening acts that lie very close to their heart. The tour will feature New Jersey-born band, Steel Train – an indie rock group fronted by fun. guitarist, Jack Antonoff. To round out the bill, the band has also invited Jarrod Gorbel, the Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter behind indie act The Honorary Title.
As previously reported, fun. recently asked their fans to help create a video for the RAC Remix of latest single “Walking The Dog” (available in the UK only) by submitting 30-second clips inspired by the track. Many great clips were submitted, and the video has been edited together! Check it out above and be sure to catch fun. on the road this fall! (tour dates below).
The pop-rock trio were recently in Los Angeles filming their second video for the track “Walking The Dog,” and in anticipation of the videos release, the band has launched a new contest to challenge their super creative fanbase. They are asking their fans to help create a video for the RAC remix of “Walking The Dog” by submitting a 30-second or shorter clip inspired by the track. The best clips will be edited together to make the first ever fun. fanmade video that will premiere on Nettwerk’s YouTube Channel (date TBA). For submission guidelines, click HERE.
The two RAC remixes will be included as bonus tracks exclusively on the iTunes UK release of fun.'s debut album Aim & Ignite, out June 7 in the UK. fun. recently stopped by FlyTV's The Courtyard for special acoustic performances of "All The Pretty Girls" and "The Gambler." The indie-pop trio are currently on tour in the UK leading up to the June 7 UK release of debut album Aim And Ignite.
They also played Club NME KOKO a few weeks ago and sent NME.com an exclusive acoustic performance of "At Least I'm Not As Sad (As I Used To Be)". Check it out below.
Spin.com posted their "25 Must-Hear Artists at Bamboozle" today and included fun.! The band just finished tour dates with Motion City Soundtrack and are currently on the road opening for Paramore. They appear at Bamboozle this Sunday, May 2 on the Sony Bloggie Stage at 1:55 PM.

The 2010 touring season is officially in effect for fun. Almost a week into their month long winter tour with Jack’s Mannequin, the rock/pop trio is excited to announce Spring tour dates with both Motion City Soundtrack (Apr 6–Apr 25) and Paramore (w/ Reliant K Apr 26-May16), including a stop at Bamboozle on May 2 in New Jersey. Additionally, the UK fans have spoken and fun. heard ‘em; the band will make their way overseas to play their first ever show in London at The Social on March 23 (full list of tour dates are below).
It’s been no secret that Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams is a fan of fun. From tweeting about her self-proclaimed love of the band (dear @ournameisfun - i love your music. goodnight) to tipping the band in a recent issue of Seventeen Magazine (For a good time, listen to fun. –I’m obsessed with them right now!), to selecting fun. as one of her “Big Hopes For 2010” in NME, she has been one of the band’s biggest supporters. Motion City Soundtrack first forged a friendship with fun., or more specifically frontman Nate Ruess, when he toured with Motion City Soundtrack back in 2006 with former band The Format.
To celebrate the kick-off of their 2010 tour season, fun. has just released the single, “At Least I’m Not as Sad (As I Used To Be),” as a 7” vinyl that also includes a clear CD, all wrapped up in some extra snazzy packaging. Fans can grab their copy at the live shows or HERE.
All this week, fans have been voting for the week's Best Freshmen Videoon mtvU, and it was just announced that fun.'s new video for album favorite "All The Pretty Girls" is the winner! The video will be added into rotation on mtvU starting next week. Check out the video HERE.
