Norwegian electro-rockers Datarock have unveiled a new video for the track "Amarillion" from their last full-length album Red. The kind folks at Filter Magazine were nice enough to premiere the video today (check out their original posting HERE). 

The video is released in conjunction with a new "Amarillion" EP, which is out tomorrow (March 22) and features the album version of the track plus 5 remixes that are sure to cause a dance party. Click on the cover art below to listen to tracks from the new EP.

As Datarock's new album Red hits stores today, the accolades continue to pour in. Pitchfork posted their review today, stating that the Norwegian rockers "sport some of the slickest dance production in the biz, not to mention their effortless traversing between neurotic post-punk licks and coked-to-the-gills 1980s synth pop," and continues on to say that "this band can nail any sound they want..." ANew York Times' Critic's Choice review also ran this week, which called Red "a frothy elixir out of 1980s synth-pop, art-rock and new wave."

The men in red celebrate tonight with a special performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!'s outdoor stage (12:05 et/pt on ABC). AOL's Spinner.com is also hosting a Red listening party this week, which you can check out HERE.

Less than a week until the official release of Red, Datarock grace the cover of the current issue of Big Shot Magazine, with a 6-page feature and photo spread inside. In other exciting news, the band just released a special Red vinyl today through Amazon.com and indie retailers. The Deluxe 180-gram colored vinyl includes an MP3 CD featuring tracks like "True Stories" and "The Pretender."

Datarock will perform 5 songs, including new favorite “True Stories” from Red and hit single “Fa Fa Fa” from their 2007 debut. With countless sold-out tour dates and festival appearances from the US to the UK to Australia, the Norwegian rockers have become known for their high-energy live shows. Datarock have just revealed their latest video for the track "True Stories" off their forthcoming album Red, out September 1. The video premiered exclusively on Spin.com yesterday.

In celebration of their sophomore album Red (September 1), Datarock is taking over North America with a 26-city tour that beings on Friday, August 28 in Montreal and ends on Saturday, October 3 in Seattle. 

In the midst of sell-out dates across London and Australia, the Norwegian rockers made a quick stop in the US last month and gave packed audiences in Los Angeles and San Francisco a sneak preview of what they can expect from 5-week tour…same tracksuits, more songs, bigger show. 

Datarock premeired a new track from their forthcoming album, Red, due out September 1.  "The Pretender" premiered exclusively yesterday on Stereogum and is now available to hear on the band's MySpace  page.

The band also released  the “Give It Up” EP via iTunes yesterday,  which features the album version of the first single, three remixes of the track from Fan Death, Kissy Sell Out and Chateau Marmont, and a second album track, “True Stories” (their unabashed tribute to Talking Heads).

Norwegian rockers Datarock have just unveiled their rollicking new video for the eighties inspired rock/pop single "Give It Up" from their upcoming sophomore album RED.  The video draws inspiration from classic duels, such as Michael Jackson “Beat It” and “Bad,” the 1951 film West Side Story and the 1996 re-make of Romeo & Juliet.
