2012 continues to be an exciting year for Los Angeles’ Family Of The Year, as they head out on the road with Walk The Moon, White Arrows and Hey Ocean!.
Next week, the band kicks things off with the 98.7FM stage at Sunset Strip Music Festival on Saturday, August 18 before heading to Europe to play the BBC Introducing Stage at The Reading & Leeds Festivals and France’s sold-out three-day music festival Rock En Seine, alongside Green Day, The Black Keys, Sigur Rós, The Shins, Placebo, Of Monsters and Men and others.
Family Of The Year will spend the remainder of August and early September touring through Europe, playing venues across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Sweden and more. By mid-September, the band returns home to share the stage with Walk The Moon, White Arrows and Hey Ocean! across North America.
Last month, Nettwerk Records released Loma Vista from Los Angeles-based Family Of The Year.
Returning home next week, the band is set to play the 98.7FM stage at Sunset Strip Music Festival on Saturday, August 18th before heading to the UK to play the BBC Introducing Stage at The Reading And Leeds Festivals – Friday, August 24 (Reading) and Saturday, August 25 (Leeds).
The band has already played sold-out shows in England and across Europe, including a triumphant set at France’s renowned music festival Les Vieilles Charrues, and garnered support stints with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Mumford & Sons, Grouplove, Good Old War, Belle Brigade, Milo Greene and more.
Formed in 2009, Family Of The Year is rounded out by Sebastian Keefe (drums, vocals), James Buckey (guitars, vocals) and Christina Schroeter (keyboards, vocals).
