National Geographic recently posted the above video featuring a behind-the-scenes look at Chadwick Stokes (Dispatch/State Radio) collaborating with the SierraLeone's Refugee All-Stars on the track "Coffee And Wine," which appears on the deluxe version of Stokes new solo album Simmerkane II.
Stokes released Simmerkane II last month (Ruff Shod/Nettwerk), which debuted at #18 on Billboard’s Heatseekers' chart. Inspired by Stokes’ freight hopping adventures across the U.S., the 10-track album was produced by John Dragonetti (of The Submarines) and includes guest appearances from Carly Simon, Matt Embree (Rx Bandits), The White Buffalo, and Blake Hazard (The Submarines).
In September, Stokes will embark on a 12-city solo tour (keep reading for dates).
