In the spirit of the holidays, Sarah McLachlan & the students of The Sarah McLachlan School Of Music share a free holiday track, “Space On The Couch For Two.”

The song is offered free of charge, in hopes that people’s generosity will allow the non-profit School Of Music to continue to provide music education to at-risk youth. 100% of all proceeds will go to support the program.

“When I was growing up, we had music in our schools. It was a given. These days many of these programs are not available…music was my refuge and solace – the one thing I knew I was good at; it fed me and kept me going,” says McLachlan.

School Of Music is a free music school for kids based on the combination of group and private lessons which allow both instructors and students to explore diverse learning styles, interests and most importantly, build community. The Sarah McLachlan School Of Music reaches hundreds of young people every year, proving the space and tools to express themselves through music.

After more than two decades together, multi-platinum recording artist Sarah McLachlan and her long-time manager Terry McBride, CEO and co-founder of Vancouver-based Nettwerk Music Group, have decided to end their professional relationship.

"I'd like to thank all the people at Nettwerk for their hard work, especially Terry McBride, Mark Jowett, Dan Fraser and Ric Arboit,” says McLachlan. “However, it’s time for a change, and I’m looking forward to exploring opportunities with new representation.”

McBride adds, “Sarah and Nettwerk have had an amazing 23 years and a multitude of successes together. We wish her only the best as she moves forward in her career, and will continue to work with her and support her."

Sarah McLachlan has announced additional dates to her current “Sarah And Friends” tour, featuring Butterfly Boucher and Melissa McClelland. The new dates include 5 stops in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Louisville and East Lansing.

Praised as a mini-Lilith tour by many critics, “Sarah And Friends” offers fans an intimate evening with Sarah McLachlan as she not only performs classic hits and new favorites from her critically-acclaimed new release Laws Of Illusion (Arista Records), but also takes moments throughout the evening to answer questions from the audience. Sarah’s two friends and band members, Butterfly Boucher and Melissa McClelland, also have their moment in the spotlight, each performing their own short sets.
