Nettwerk Releases A Camp's Self-Titled 2001 Debut For First Time In North America

A Camp are excited to announce that Nettwerk is making their debut self-titled album available for the first time in North America with a digital release yesterday, September 8. A Camp--which was met with much critical praise abroad and awarded four Swedish Grammy Awards--was originally released on September 3, 2001, but had only been available as an import until now. A Camp toured extensively on the strength of the single, “I Can Buy You” (featured above).

Originally formed as a Swedish musical duo by The Cardigans front woman/lyricist Nina Persson and Atomic Swing musician Niclas Frisk, A Camp has since evolved into a trio with the addition of American film composer, Shudder to Think member, and Nina’s husband, Nathan Larson.

A Camp’s US debut, Colonia, was released earlier this year on Nettwerk Records. Spin Magazine called it “beguiling gorgeous stuff—and smartly funny too,” while Entertainment Weekly saw an “instant classic.”
