Dispatch and State Radio member Chadwick Stokes solo debut, Simmerkane II, released June 28 via Ruff Shod/Nettwerk Records debuted at #18 on Billboard’s Heatseekers' chart. Inspired by Stokes’ freight hopping adventures across the U.S., the 10-track album was produced by John Dragonetti (of The Submarines) and includes guest appearances from Carly Simon, Matt Embree (Rx Bandits), The White Buffalo,and Blake Hazard (The Submarines).
Featured on the digital and physical bonus versions are three songs recorded with Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars. National Geographic is currently offering a free download of the track, “Coffee And Wine,” and a stream of video footage from the recording session will soon follow. In September, Stokes will embark on a 12-city solo tour; see dates below.

In the US, the track has cracked the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and remains in the Top 5 of the iTunes Top Singles Chart, while the accompanying video (above) boasts more than 170 million views on YouTube and peaked at #2 on the VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown.
