NW1/Moraine Music would like to congratulate Johnny Reid on the success of his new album A Place Called Love, which was certified platinum in 24 hours and debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Top Albums Chart and Country Albums Chart in Canada last week. Additionally, debut single “Today I’m Gonna Try and Change The World” is perched at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 Country Singles Chart, all as he embarks on a 45 date sold-out Canadian tour.

Beyond the immediate success of Reid’s new album, he won three awards at the 2010 Canadian Country Music Awards earlier this year: the coveted Fan’s Choice Award, Song of the Year (“Dance With Me”) and Songwriter of the Year (“Dance With Me”).
