OCMS Announce Summer Tour Plans; Band Featured on John Prine Tribute Album

Old Crow Medicine Show (OCMS) have announced a new run of summer tour dates starting July 8 in Cincinnati, OH. The band also recently contributed a cover of “Angel From Montgomery” to the upcoming John Prine tribute album, alongside artists like My Morning Jacket, The Avett Brothers and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon. Their version of “Angel From Montgomery” will be on the Broken Hearts & Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine, out June 22 (Oh Boy Records).

OCMS has kept busy on the road this spring, bringing their live show to New Zealand and Australia before heading back to the States for their debut appearance at Coachella. Said the Wall Street Journal of their performance: “The Old Crow Medicine Show, fortified by Benmont Tench of Tom Petty's band, played bluegrass and folk that prodded the audience into some of the sloppiest and most joyful country dancing the Nashville-based band is likely to have witnessed.” The band also stopped in New Orleans for Jazz Fest in May, and just last Friday made yet another appearance on the Grand Ole Opry at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, sharing the night with John Michael Montgomery, Lee Greenwood, Mel Tillis and more.
