Last week, Walt Disney Records released the soundtrack to the Disney Channel Original Movie Lemonade Mouth, featuring songs performed by Nettwerk-managed artist Bridgit Mendler and the rest of the cast of the movie. Lemonade Mouth premiered on Disney Channel last Friday, April 15. This week, the soundtrack debuted at #18 on the Billboard Top 200. Check out Bridgit and the rest of the cast performing the song "Somebody" above.
Performed by the stars of the film, the music on the soundtrack is a rich blend of rock, dance, hip-hop and pop styles. The debut single, “Somebody,” sung by Bridgit Mendler, is a moving, hope-filled power ballad, while “Determinate” is an up-tempo dance track. Harmony-rich pop gems like “Turn Up the Music” and the rocker “She’s So Gone” showcase Lemonade Mouth’s DIY approach, while funky, hip-hop songs such as “And the Crowd Goes” and “Don’t You Wish You Were Us” emphasize the band’s humorous side. Others, like the acoustic-flavored “More Than a Band” and the synth-laden dance rocker “Breakthrough” boast positive messages and show what Lemonade Mouth is all about. In addition to his role in the movie and six music performances, Adam Hicks also co-wrote three tracks on the album, “Determinate,” “Breakthrough” and “Livin’ on a High Wire.”
Nettwerk is thrilled to announce the addition of Bridgit Mendler to its management roster. "Easy Come Easy Go" is the first single from New Wild Everywhere and easily the most upbeat and up-tempo track to ever come from Toronto indie folk/rock darlings Great Lake Swimmers. Out April 3, New Wild Everywhere is the follow up to 2009's critically acclaimed, Juno and Polaris-prize nominated album Lost Channels. Their fifth album in just under a decade, this new collection of 12 tracks reveals a depth and maturity previously only hinted at by lead singer and songwriter Tony Dekker.
