“The images couple perfectly with somber but floating tunes that seems to pour with well thought lyrics and a perfect blend of indie, folk, and singer-songwriter styles.”
– Filter Magazine
“This is as stunning and heartfelt as we have come to expect from Fitzsimmons, so it goes without saying that you should definitely give it a listen…because this is a beautiful record.” – AbsolutePunk.net
Today, critical darling William Fitzsimmons releases his fourth studio album, Gold In The Shadow (Nettwerk Records). The appeal of Fitzsimmons’ sound is indicative of his unique upbringing and consequent life experience. Born to two blind parents, Fitzsimmons grew up in a home where sound - particularly music - was integral to communication.
While maintaining the intimacy of previous releases, Fitzsimmons expands his sound on tracks like lead singles, “The Tide Pulls From The Moon” and “Beautiful Girl.” With “Let You Break,” William Fitzsimmons collaborates with Julia Stone, one half of the acclaimed Aussie brother/sister folk duo Angus & Julia Stone. Fitzsimmons’ gentle whispers are perfectly paired alongside Julia’s distinct, delicate, and fragile voice.
To support today’s release, be sure to catch Fitzsimmons on the road, along with Slow Runner. See dates below.

Angus also sports a yellow bloom – in his trilby – but has the wild hair, beard and more earthy charms of Chas Hodges…watching the family Stone is like taking a minibreak – warm, intimate and inviting – you'll feel better for it.”– The Guardian (UK)

"Easy Come Easy Go" is the first single from New Wild Everywhere and easily the most upbeat and up-tempo track to ever come from Toronto indie folk/rock darlings Great Lake Swimmers. Out April 3, New Wild Everywhere is the follow up to 2009's critically acclaimed, Juno and Polaris-prize nominated album Lost Channels. Their fifth album in just under a decade, this new collection of 12 tracks reveals a depth and maturity previously only hinted at by lead singer and songwriter Tony Dekker.
