Fun. To Support Paramore In The UK, Alongside B.O.B.

Fun. will be joining B.O.B. as support for Paramore's UK tour this fall. Having recently toured with Paramore in the US, fun. will be opening for the band on all their arena dates.  As previously reported, fun. is currently preparing for their US headlining tour.

fun. Adds Dates To Upcoming Headlining Tour; Steel Train Added As Support

As previously reported, fun. will kick things off in September with a 31-city headlining tour.  The tour now includes stops in Spokane, San Diego, and Webster Hall in New York City .  As an added bonus for attendees, the band has brought on opening acts that lie very close to their heart. The tour will feature New Jersey-born band, Steel Train – an indie rock group fronted by fun. guitarist, Jack Antonoff. To round out the bill, the band has also invited Jarrod Gorbel, the Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter behind indie act The Honorary Title.

fun. Announces Tour Dates With Taking Back Sunday

 

As fun. approach the end of their first round of headline tour dates in support of their newly released debut Aim and Ignite, the band have announced they will join Taking Back Sunday for a handful of dates starting October 23 in Columbus, OH.

fun. has been selling out tour dates since before the release of Aim And Ignite, which broke onto the Billboard 200 at #71 two weeks ago. In an interview in today's AM New York, frontman Nate Reuss commented on the band's success: "'We weren’t expecting any of this, and it’s not false modesty...We obviously believed in what we had, but we thought it was going to take until the record came out or until after a while of people seeing us live.'" After seeing fun.'s live show in Los Angeles, Buzzbands.la founder and former LA Times music critic Kevin Bronson raved “fun. fairly stole the show with its complex hybrid of jaunty pop, glam and white soul.”

fun. is back with another new single from their upcoming album, Aim And Ignite out later this month. “All The Pretty Girls” premiered on AOL’s Spinner yesterday and is available today on iTunes.

The highly anticipated debut album from fun., Aim And Ignite, approaches its August 25th release date with two very exciting North American tours. Nate Ruess (The Format), Andrew Dost (Anathallo) and Jack Antonoff (Steel Train), who are collectively known as fun., will embark a two-week tour with admirers Hellogoodbye. Soon after, the carnival-pop outfit will head out on their first headlining tour of the states.

Due to the overwhelming demand on message boards, the band recently gave fans another sneak peak at Aim And Ignite with their latest song, “Walking The Dog.” Much like the news of this collaboration, the song was met with immediate excitement and resulted in a tremendous amount of online exchange between old and new fans. With just two songs available, the band’s MySpace page is quickly approaching 700,000 plays.
