Nettwerk Music Group Acquires Bumstead Records

Nettwerk Music Group (Nettwerk) and Bumstead Productions (Bumstead) today announced a definitive agreement under which Nettwerk has acquired the recording assets and label operations of Bumstead.

Bumstead is one of a few Canadian independent music businesses founded over 30 years ago with a strong pedigree of developing successful Canadian artists. Bumstead founder Larry Wanagas will retain the name Bumstead and continue to independently run the publishing and artist management business of Bumstead under the Bumstead banner.

Nettwerk co-founder and CEO Terry McBride comments, “We are thrilled to add Bumstead’s impressive roster of influential Canadian recording artists to the Nettwerk family. As a company, we are always looking to expand our diverse roster with quality catalogue.”

“My focus has always been primarily on management. It’s what I enjoy most and do best. It’s where I have had my greatest success. Nettwerk have vision, commitment and will work hard to uphold the legacy of these important master recordings,” says Larry Wanagas.
