Nettwerk Music Group Welcomes Steve Lewis To Their Board As Non-Executive Director
Nettwerk Music Group announced this week that Steve Lewis, former CEO of Chrysalis Music Group and founder of Stage Three Music, has joined their board as a non-executive director. In his role, Lewis will provide advice and guidance on the Group’s development as it further expands its activities as a multi-faceted music company. Lewis joins the board during an era of strong growth and achievements for NMG, which announced last month that it had raised $10.25 Million in equity growth financing to fund new and existing artist development, as well as catalogue acquisitions.
“I am thrilled to welcome a fellow Entrepreneur, Operator and Visionary to Nettwerk's board. Steve's passion for music and knowledge of the Music business landscape is second to none,” says Nettwerk CEO Terry McBride.
The Nettwerk UK team is currently enjoying great success with Passenger’s hit single "Let Her Go" becoming the label's first ever Platinum single in the UK, with accompanying album All The Little Lights now the label’s highest selling album to date in the territory. Additionally, Admiral Fallow was shortlisted at the prestigious Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Awards. Anticipated upcoming releases from promising new acts include Royal Canoe and Radical Face. The publishing division (NW1) is also hitting new heights this year with acts such as Neon Neon, Perfume Genius, Airbourne, and Sinead O’Connor, alongside a roster of talented songwriters who have recently contributed to albums from the likes of Little Mix, Stooshe and The Wanted. Management client Stereophonics have reclaimed their strong sales base with their first self-released album since departing Universal, Graffiti On The Train, while Atlantic Records signed Fun., who have had huge global impact over the last 12 months.
Steve Lewis as an addition to the board provides another international voice in what is already a multinational independent company.
"I've long admired Nettwerk as an innovative, creative company. It’s proven executive team, current successes and the additional resources now available make this a very exciting time to join the company. Nettwerk has established itself as a leading independent with global reach and I'm confident it's destined for even greater success. " says Lewis.
