Delerium Reveals "Monarch" Feat. Nadina; Lead Track From First New Album In Six Years
Influential Canadian outfit Delerium debuts lead single, “Monarch,” from the first studio album in six years, Music Box Opera (Fall 2012).
At the helm is founder Bill Leeb (Front Line Assembly, Skinny Puppy), who enlists the talents of two friends – collaborator Rhys Fulber and vocalist Nadina, who lends her voice in her native tongue of Arabic.
On the experience, Nadina says, “The song will move you with its melodies and rhythms no matter the language you speak. I love Delerium's work, and it was an honor to record the track. I can't wait for everyone to hear it!”
While Delerium’s musical style encompasses a broad range – ambient trance to electronic pop music – the music always highlights a strong female vocalist. In the past, Delerium has worked with Leigh Nash (of Sixpence None the Richer), Miranda Lee Richards, Butterfly Boucher, Emily Haines (of Metric) and the most commercially successful single, “Silence,” featured Sarah McLachlan.
As a member of industrial rock outfits Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly, Leeb has sold over 3 million units worldwide and over a million albums in North America with Delerium.
“Monarch” will be available as part of a 10-track EP that includes remixes by Bause, James Hockley, Monitor and Knifed.
In the coming weeks, stay tuned for more details regarding the album.
