State Radio Shares "Behind The Scenes" Footage From Upcoming Studio Album
Premiered At ARTISTdirect.com, State Radio shares behind-the-scenes footage as they record "Roadway Broken," from their forthcoming studio album.
State Radio band members are road veterans, not only as a headlining act but also having previously shared the stage with Michael Franti, Dave Matthews Band, Tom Morello’s The Nightwatchman and most recently, The John Butler Trio. State Radio performed at the 2008 Democratic National Convention alongside Rage Against The Machine.
"Roadway Broken" is about a mother searching for food for her children after the 2010 earthquake, and is available as a free download. There are several ways for fans to get the song: 1) tweet about the song, 2) tweet about donating to Haiti, 3) share a message to Facebook about the song and Haiti and/or 4) buy it at Bandcamp for $1. Half of all proceeds will be donated to Stand With Haiti: a Partners In Health service organization to provide health care, clinical and social support and rebuild and reinforce the public health systems in Haiti.
It's been almost two years, but State Radio will be crossing the pond this May to play nine shows in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
Calling All Crows is also looking for volunteers to serve on Alternative Break Tour 7 in Germany! Alternative Break Tours are unique volunteer trips for music fans looking to create change through hands-on service and activism. Volunteers will travel together in a sleepervan through Frankfurt, Bochum, and Hamburg; volunteer with some incredible NGOs each day; and catch State Radio on stage each night!
