Josh Rouse Returns With Spanish Inspired Valencia EP

Beloved Singer/Songwrter Josh Rouse is back with the release of his brand new EP Valencia. Renowned for highly acclaimed releases Subtitulo, Nashville and 1972, the new EP bears the distinct influence of Spain, which the Nebraska native made his home five years ago with his Spanish wife Paz Suay and takes its name from the city, on the Mediterranean coast, where they couple and son currently call home.
Valencia is vibrantly redolent of city life in their hometown and what’s more, Rouse sings en espanol like a native Valencian. “I’ve been speaking Spanish here every day, all day, for five years,” he points out, “so it’s become pretty natural. And being a musician, if you have an ear, you pick up the details, the accents, so you’re not speaking like Sam Elliott in Spanish.”
The EP is just the first taste of Rouse's new style, which will be followed by a full length release in the new year. Full details to be announced shortly.
