Howard Benson, Chris Lord-Alge and Mike Plotnikoff Land #1 Album With Daughtry

Rock superstar Daughtry's new album Leave This Town--produced by Howard Benson, engineered by Mike Plotnikoff and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge--debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 with 270,000 sold in its first week, giving Daughtry the distinction of the only American Idol alumni with back to back #1 albums.
Lead by the hit single “No Surprise,” which is currently at #22 on Billboard’s Top 40, Leave This Town is shaping up to be a one of the biggest albums of 2009. Billboard raves that Leave This Town is “ another record full of songs that make you want to roll down the car windows and bust a vocal cord or two while trying to match Daughtry's gravelly wail," while People gives the album a 3 out of 4 star review, noting Daughtry's “voice has never sounded better."
The team of Benson, Lord-Alge and Plotnikoff also delivered Daughtry's mega-selling self-title debut album in 2006, which has sold 4.5 million copies to date. The hit makers are currently collaborating on new material from Flyleaf, Chester Bennington’s solo effort Dead By Sunrise, Three Days Grace, Hawthorne Heights as well as the highly anticipated new album by Creed..
