Datarock Premieres New Track, "The Pretender," From Forthcomg Album 'Red'; 'Give It Up EP' Out Now On ITunes

Datarock premeired a new track from their forthcoming album, Red, due out September 1.  "The Pretender" premiered exclusively yesterday on Stereogum and is now available to hear on the band's MySpace  page.

The band also released  the “Give It Up” EP via iTunes yesterday,  which features the album version of the first single, three remixes of the track from Fan Death, Kissy Sell Out and Chateau Marmont, and a second album track, “True Stories” (their unabashed tribute to Talking Heads).

Over the weekend, Datarock played to a sold-out crowd at London's Barfly in celebration of the release of first single "Give It Up."  They will make two special stops in California next month, first in San Francisco on June 12 at The Independent, followed by a headline show in LA at Spin Magazine Presents @ The Key Club on June 13.
