Nettwerk Music Group congratulates its artists for their CBC Music Awards nominations.
The Pack A.D was nominated in two categories: Best Live Show and Best Independent Artist. The garage rock duo's newest album Do Not Engage saw a career best chart debut entering the Top 200 at #87, hitting #16 on the Alternative Albums chart and #54 on the Digital Albums chart. The Pack A.D. also set a new record at Canadian College radio with Do Not Engage charting #1 for 10 consecutive weeks at the !earshot National Top 50.
Victoria B.C's Current Swell was nominated for Best Fan Engagement, recognized for a well curated instagram stream, a steady online dialogue with fans and for always having time to hang out after a show. Released on May 6, Current Swell’s latest album Ulysses landed at #1 on the Rock iTunes chart, #10 on the Alternative Albums Chart and reached a career high Top 50 debut on the Top 200 chart. The latest single “Rollin’” was recently the #1 most added track at Alternative Rock Radio and is now #24, in the competitive formats Top 30 chart.
Mike Rosenberg, aka Passenger, was nominated Best International Album for the critically acclaimed Whispers, which saw career high chart debuts around the globe. In the U.S, it landed at #12 on the Billboard 200, #5 in his native UK, #2 in Australia and Canada, #3 in New Zealand and the Netherlands and #6 in Germany.
Australia's Boy & Bear was nominated for Best International Album for sophomore album Harlequin Dream. In Australia, the album had a steady run at #1, was certified Gold, and received several ARIA Award nominations, including Best Group, Best Rock Album and Producer Of The Year. This follows their award-winning debut LP Moonfire, which won five awards at 2011 ARIAs, including the coveted group and best album prizes.
