Scars On 45 Premiere New Video

Bradford, UK’s Scars on 45 premiered a new music video this week for album track “Take You Home.” Drummer Chris Durling tells ARTISTDirect of the video, “We really wanted to make a video that represented us as a band and who we are as people. We love playing house shows and meeting our fans, so incorporating that into a video seemed like a perfect fit. This was the most fun we've ever had making a video which makes it such a fun film to watch!”

Scars On 45 also peformed “Tasted Every Tear” from their latest album Safety In Numbers on VH1 Big Morning Buzz earlier this week. The band has been on the road since the release of their sophomore album, which debuted on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart at #12.

NW1 Writer/Producer Fredro Sees Another #1 Song

This week marked the release of seventeen-year-old K-Pop sensation Jimin Park's heart wrenching song "Hopeless Love" (JYP Entertainment), which broke out at #1 on both the Genie and Olleh charts, and in the top ten on the Melon chart.

Formerly a member of the duo 15&, this is Jimin Park's first solo release. Park premiered "Hopeless Love" on April 5th on Comeback Stage @ SBS KPOP STAR 4, the South Korean TV competition.

This marks yet another success for NW1 writer/producer Fredrik "Fredro" Ödesjö. This success comes only a few short weeks after Kumi Koda's album release, Walk Of My Life, which featured three tracks that he co-wrote.

The emotional video for "Hopeless Love" depicts the heartbreak of an unrequited love. With only two days online, the video has already garnered over 340,000 views.

Good Old War Announce New Album 'Broken Into Better Shape' June 30

Good Old War is excited to announce details of their new full-length studio album – Broken Into Better Shape. Due out June 30th via Nettwerk, the album was recorded in Nashville with the help of Grammy Award winning producer Jason Lehning (Alison Krause & Union Station, Mat Kearney, Dolly Parton) and mixed by another Grammy winner, engineer Vance Powell (Jack White, Houndmouth, Elle King). In addition, the band unveiled the first single “Tell Me What You Want From Me” via an exclusive premiere yesterday with The Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy Blog who describes the song as, “... a catchy, upbeat tune with a clickety-clack rhythm and a chorus that soars upward on layers of wordless vocals as Goodwin delivers the refrain.” The single is available today via all DSPs, click here to buy.

Broken Into Better Shape is the fourth full-length release for Good Old War and the first that finds the group working with outside songwriters. The trio originally started working on the new album after wrapping months of touring in support of 2012’s Come Back As Rain. During this initial phase, drummer Tim Arnold decided to leave the band to join his fiancé in Atlanta who was pregnant with the couple’s first child. Keith Goodwin and Dan Schwartz found themselves with half an album and decided to take the opportunity to experiment working with outside writers and producers. They spent a little time in NYC working with Emile Haynie (fun., Bruno Mars, Lady Antebellum) which resulted in the album’s soaring “Fly Away” and for the hook laden lead single, “Tell Me What You Want From Me,” they found themselves in LA writing with Zimbabwe-born urban producer T-Collar. In the fall of 2014, the duo headed to Nashville to begin working with Lehning, where they were able to round out the songs with the help of Lehning and a terrific group of musicians and writers that he assembled.

"With a combination of hip hop swagger and explosive bass music aesthetics, Australian duo Hermitude has become a force to be reckoned with" - DJ Times

"Their latest original, “Through the Roof” featuring Young Tapz, is simply jaw-dropping"
Dancing Astronaut

Nettwerk Records is excited to announce the signing of Hermitude, the award-winning duo based in Sydney, Australia. In 2015, expect the duo to release Dark Night Sweet Light (via Nettwerk Records), the long awaited follow-up to HyperParadise, a beautifully inventive record of future beats and electronica. Their meticulous production, musicianship and passion for instrumental music demands attention.

Multi-instrumentalists, Luke Dubber (aka Luke Dubs) and Angus Stuart (aka El Gusto), have collaborated since they were 16 and 11, respectively. With the Platinum-selling HyperParadise, the band won Australia’s Music Prize, modeled after Britain’s Mercury Music Prize and Canada’s Polaris Prize, whose single goal is to identify and reward the most outstanding creative Australian album of the year. “SXSW New Favorite Band Alert” - KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic

“Newbies Who Impressed: Boxed In, essentially a vehicle for songwriter-producer-keyboardist Oli Bayston. The songs ranged from crushed ballads to bullet-train rockers with lead bass lines.” - Chicago Tribune

“U.K. rock–groove to enhance those late nights or early mornings in Austin.”
- Hitfix’s “SXSW 2015: Artists To Watch”

Praise From The UK:

“The debut album from Boxed In will enhance your life…Oli Bayston is an impressive songwriter and his piano-pinned dance-pop album carries zero duds.” - NME

“…a beauty, capturing Bayston’s housed-up, lo-fi appeal, which involves locked-in, Hot Chip recalling grooves, world-weary, Bernard Summer-like vocals and simple-as-pie melodies that worm their way into your soul and claim squatters rights. Stunning.”
- Sunday Times “Debut Of The Week”

"Boxed In…hits hard enough in places to get the party started and holds just enough back to make you want to return to it again and again.”
- The Line of Best Fit

“Bayston is a master craftsman. Boxed In is only the beginning.”

Official Video For “Mystery”:

“The song opens with a live drum loop before grand piano chords take the reins; Bayston also adds sparse bass guitar hits and atmospheric sweeps which swell and recede. The instrumentation is rich and the visuals are equally so.”
