NW1/Revelry, Combustion, Sea Gayle and Complete Control Management Pair EDM Artists With Nashville Writers At 2-Day Camp

From left to right: Luke Foley (Combustion writer), Chris Van Belkom (Combustion), Freeman Wizer (Sea Gayle), Tony Livadas (Brass Knuckles), Anthony Pisano (Brass Knuckles), AJ Burton (Nettwerk/Revelry), Neil Mason (Nettwerk/Revelry writer) and Danny D’Brito (Brass Knuckles)

Nettwerk One Music/Revelry Music, Combustion Music, Sea Gayle Music and Complete Control Management recently came together to host a 2-day writing camp combining Nashville writers with two EDM artists: Tritonal and Brass Knuckles. Writing sessions took place from 10am – 7pm at Blackbird Studios and Combustion Music offices, with performing rights organizations ASCAP and BMI providing daily lunch.

Participating writers included: NW1/Revelry clients Neil Mason, Mike Fiorentino and Tammi Kidd Hutton, Combustion client Luke Foley, and Sea Gayle clients Bryan Simpson and Ingrid Andress.

Nettwerk’s AJ Burton says, “The idea of organizing an outside- the-box writing camp in Nashville intrigued me and my colleague Melissa Emert-Hutner, and after discussing the idea with our friends at Combustion, Sea Gayle and Complete Control Management, we decided to give it a shot. Combining forces between two thriving genres and pushing the limits and EDM artists’ ability to feature various artists on their records, it just made sense to us.”

Complete Control Management's head of A&R Joseph Pepin says, "I've toyed around with the idea of sending dance acts from Complete Control's roster to Nashville for a while now. When I began discussing the idea with my friends over at Nettwerk, Combustion and Sea Gayle, I found that they shared an equal amount of excitement for the idea, so we moved forward with it. I've always had the utmost respect for the songwriting that takes place in Nashville and the ability that the writers in this city have to tell a story in a unique way. I think it is safe to say that we are all really happy with the results of the camp, and we hope to have more outside the box collaborations of this type in the near future.”

Bauhaus originally split in 1983, but eventually bowed to public pressure to reform in 1998 and again in 2005.

Sinéad O'Connor Shares Official Music Video For "8 Good Reasons"

"Sinéad's nearly 30-year career forms a portrait of an artist in conflict; a brilliant singer who remains musically, politically and personally uncompromising after forays into folk, pop, standards, reggae and points beyond. By definition, her catalog is erratic, but it's consistently bold and surprising...Its first single, "Take Me to Church," looks back on a lifetime of battles and broken loves, only to find pathways to peace, redemption, forgiveness and wonder…the song provides a stirring and frequently beautiful glimpse into the mind of a singer who searches constantly for improvements in herself." - NPR

Out today, Sinéad O'Connor shares the official music video for "8 Good Reasons" from her 10th studio album I'm Not Bossy, I'm The Boss (available HERE via Nettwerk Records).

Shot on a bus in Dublin, the official music video for “8 Good Reasons” shows Sinéad at her most direct and powerful, but also demonstrates the power of redemption. "8 Good Reasons" is an emotive and beautiful song that represents the very best of her songwriting, her ever-powerful vocal set to a an uplifting chorus produced by longterm collaborator John Reynolds.
