OCMS (Ketch Secor, Critter Fuqua, Kevin Hayes, Morgan Jahnig, Gill Landry, and Chance McCoy) have made a name for themselves as energetic performers with an unbridled spirit. Cory Younts will be performing with Old Crow at this LA show after spending a year in Jack White’s touring band. Singer-songwriter Robert Ellis will provide support, taking the stage at 8:00 pm before Old Crow takes the stage at 9:00 pm. Doors are at 7:00 pm.
The show at the El Rey will follow the band’s performance of their song “Mississippi Saturday Night” on TBS’ Conan on Monday night April 29. Tune in at 11 pm/10 pm central Monday night to check it out.
The band will also be headlining at the Mustang Stage this Friday, April 26 at the Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, CA.
OCMS have spent the majority of the last year touring in support of their fourth full-length studio album, Carry Me Back. The album achieved the highest chart position in the band’s career. Carry Me Back was produced by Ted Hutt (Gaslight Anthem, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly). The LA Times hailed the album as “the band’s finest songs in some time,” and American Songwriter said the album is “simple and great, and simply great.”

Swiss/German female duo BOY will return to North America for a small run of May dates, starting May 13th with a live taping at Boulder’s eTown Hall alongside City And Colour. These dates follow a hugely successful premiere North American tour last month in support of the band’s critically acclaimed debut album, Mutual Friends, featuring infectious single “Little Numbers.”
The ladies of BOY, Swiss-born Valeska Steiner and German-born Sonja Glass, charmed their way across North America last month, starting with a sold-out show at Joe’s Pub. In a live review, Jon Pareles of The New York Times wrote: "BOY writes and sings tuneful, friendly, forthright pop-folk songs about life and relationships...cradled by melodies with a comfortable lilt and by Ms. Steiner’s sweet, unfailingly precise lead vocals…Boy brings a pastry chef’s skill to its music; there’s structure behind the sweetness."

k-os joins an eclectic pantheon of musicians who have sat in with The Roots, including Justin Vernon, Cee Lo Green, John Mayer, Itzhak Perlman, Adam Levine, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Zakk Wylde, John Mayer, “Weird Al” Yankovich, Michael Bolton and everyone’s favorite rambunctious muppet Animal.

“A fantastically gritty rock duo.” – NPR “All Songs Considered”

Nettwerk Music Group is thrilled to announce the signing of the indomitable Vancouver duo The Pack A.D.
Who is The Pack A.D.? A jaw-dropping statement. To best experience what this means, watch the excellent music video for standout track “Positronic.” The above video has some unexpected (and grisly) moments; consider yourselves warned.
Comprised of drummer Maya Miller and belligerent guitarist/vocalist Becky Black, The Pack A.D. is an epically fierce explosion of punk, psych and garage rock. The revered duo formed in 2006 and established themselves as an integral part of Canada’s soundscape with the releases of Tintype (2007), FuneralMixtape (2008) and We Kill Computers (2010). For their most recent output, Unpersons (2011), they teamed up with famed Detroit producer Jim Diamond (Electric Six, The White Stripes, The Mooney Suzuki), earning a 2013 Juno nomination in the category of “Breakthrough Group Of The Year.”
The Pack A.D. is all things snarl, piss, vinegar, venom and vitriol – and expect nothing less when they head back to the studios with Diamond for their forthcoming Nettwerk debut.
When asked for a quote, the brilliantly wicked Miller sums it up best with lyrics from Kool Moe Dee, “To say rock is not work, is ludicrous. Whoever said it, must be new to this. When you hear me, you'll compare me to a prophet for profit. Not merely putting words together for recreation, each rhyme's a dissertation. You wanna know my occupation? I get paid to rock the nation. I go to work.”
About four years ago, Mike Rosenberg took to the streets with nothing but his songs and his guitar in the hopes of financing an album and making some new fans. Fast-forward to present day, and Rosenberg (aka Passenger) is on a worldwide trek, conquering one country at a time with his unique blend of the humorous and the heartbreaking. Since his last run in North America, including a fall tour supporting Ed Sheeran and a sold-out two week headline tour in December, Passenger has been selling out headline shows across the UK and Europe. He joined his good mate Ed Sheeran on an Australian and New Zealand run of dates, before launching his own sold out headline tour of Australia last month. Now, Passenger prepares to return to North America for his biggest headline tour to date, starting July 10 in Vancouver, BC and wrapping September 7 in Orlando, FL (all tour dates below).
Passenger releasedAll The Little Lights on Nettwerk last August; the album debuted on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart in its first week and has remained on the chart for 31 consecutive weeks. Stand-out single “Let Her Go” has reached over 18 million views on YouTube, and continues to pop up on Spotify’s weekly Top 10 Most Viral Tracks. Meanwhile, “Let Her Go” has reached #1 in nine countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, and New Zealand. The album was also named the “Best Singer/Songwriter Album of 2012” by iTunes UK, and featured on both iTunes U.S. and Canada as a 2012 Chart Topper.
Nettwerk is excited to share the Nettwerk Spring Music Sampler 2013, highlighting some of the exciting music coming from Nettwerk artists this spring, as well as some recent favorites. The sampler features stand-out tracks from the label's latest signings, like the buzzed about Swiss-German female duo BOY, Australia’s The Paper Kites, Brooklyn fantasy pop duo Savoir Adore, and Vancouver indie pop trio (and JUNO nominee) Hey Ocean!. The sampler also includes songs from some of Nettwerk's best, like Family of the Year, Morgan Page, k-os, Delerium, Passenger, and Wanting.
Download it for FREE on Amazon (US) or HMV (Canada), and enjoy!
“Savoir Adore combined two sounds of optimism: surging folk-rock chords and the solid foundation of an electronic beat.” – The New York Times (CMJ ’12 Live Review)
“[Savoir Adore] intuitively sharpen their dreamy dialogues with wiry, earthy hooks and defiant dance beats: the result is an ingenious marriage of esoteric artistry and easy accessibility.” – NPR “10 Artists You Should’ve Known in 2012”
Brooklyn-based duo Savoir Adore announces a 23-city U.S. tour supporting Sea Wolf, starting May 17th in Pomona, CA and wrapping June 21st in Los Angeles, CA. Their new album, Our Nature, will be re-released with one new, previously unreleased track called “Beating Hearts” on June 4th via Nettwerk Records.
