Nettwerk Records is excited to announce the release of the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Janie Jones (Tribeca Film) on October 11, 2011. The soundtrack features 11 songs, eight of which were performed by the film’s lead actors, Academy Award® nominee Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine, My Sister’s Keeper) and Alessandro Nivola (Laurel Canyon, Coco Before Chanel), in addition to tracks from recording artists William Fitzsimmons, Gemma Hayes and Patrick Watson.

In this music-based independent film, an on-the-road musician is forced to take responsibility for the daughter he never knew he had. Janie Jones is a heartwarming rock ‘n’ roll road drama from writer-director David M. Rosenthal (Falling Up), inspired by his own experiences. Rocker Ethan Brand (Nivola) and his band are on the comeback trail when a former flame (Oscar® nominee Elisabeth Shue) drops a bomb in his lap—their 13-year-old daughter, Janie Jones (Breslin). Ethan refuses to believe Janie is his kid, but when her mom suddenly leaves for rehab, the child has no place to go but on tour with the band. With no feel for fatherhood, Ethan continues his hard-living ways, leaving Janie to fend for herself in the dive bars and sleazy motels along the way. As Ethan’s self-destructive spiral threatens the group’s future, his band members desert him one by one, until he and Janie are left alone. Desperate to finish the tour and revive his career, Ethan stays on the road as a solo act with Janie in tow, where her surprising musical talents help guide him down the rocky road to redemption.

Ivy's 'All Hours' Out Today; Listen To Entire Album With Band Commentary On Soundcloud

"Seductive, sleek beat, wistful melody and a vaguely noirish scene set by Dominique Durand in a voice pitched halfway between a coo and a sigh." - Rolling Stone

"A perfect choice for a lead single, 'Distant Lights' is the most danceable work from
Ivy yet." - Consequence of Sound

Indie-pop trio Ivy's first studio album in 5 years is out today. All Hours marks a self-proclaimed "rebirth," finding the NYC-based band more focused on textures and rhythms than the guitar-centric sound that has characterized their previous albums. Singer Dominique Durand describes the writing process for All Hours as an attempt to "go back to some kind of innocence, and also a feeling of energy and excitement."

Grammy-Nominated Morgan Page Delivers 'In The Air' EP; Reveal Special Guests For 'In The Air' Tour

On October 11th, Grammy-nominated Morgan Page will release In The Air, a six song EP of the lead single from his forthcoming 2012 studio album. In The Air, a collaboration between Page, Sultan + Ned Shepard and BT and featuring Angela McCluskey on vocals, will include several versions of the title track, in addition to remixes by Hardwell and Hard Rock Sofa.

The Hardwell remix of “In The Air” is a punchy, synth-sonic, luscious reworking of its original. Hardwell brings rhythmic nuances with tickling percussions that perfectly compliment the raspy, seductive vocal charm of McCluskey. Russian collective, Hard Rock Sofa adds their signature style to the track, serving up an edgy, driving progressive house touch.

“In The Air" entered into the Top 10 (#9) on the Billboard Dance Radio Chart last week. The track has exploded since its debut, steadily selling more than 1,500 copies a week and remaining the highest rated record at AOL Radio.
