"Rob Me Blind is a labor of love that reflects [Jay's] growth as an artist, and his desire to take new chances." – The Huffington Post
“[David] Kahne has harnessed Brannan’s obvious natural talents, and instead of just rolling out another modern folk record, the two have toyed with tempo, clever arrangements and thematic variety to produce an honest, informal and sometimes amusing collection of songs.” – musicOMH (UK)
Just a few weeks before the U.S. leg of his world tour begins, Jay Brannan has unveiled a new video for the title track of his latest album, Rob Me Blind. The video premiered yesterday on AOL’s Spinner.com.
Jay tells Spinner.com, "I'm way too shy to ever approach anyone on the street, on the subway, in an elevator or even at a bar. So it was fun to make a video involving chemistry-at-first-sight, where the characters didn't just end up going home to check the 'missed connections' listings on Craigslist."
Since the release of his sophomore full-length album Rob Me Blind, Jay has been touring the world, from the UK to Germany to Israel to Australia. His 28-date U.S. tour will begin on Wednesday, July 18th in Boston and wrap in his home city of New York on Saturday, August 25th. (Keep reading for full list of U.S. tour dates and more information).

Half dream, half documentary - come and enter Angus' world of burnouts, fireworks, midnight bonfires and general all-round good vibes. From the faraway hills of wild and remote Australia, enjoy this rare glimpse into the artist’s unique world - his piece of paradise on Earth.
“Wooden Chair” is a toe-tapping love tune replete with good old-fashioned handclapping and whistling, whilst title track “Broken Brights” is a return-to-form for Stone — it’s a nostalgic, dreamy tribute to our youth. The deeper you delve into the album, the more you come to expect the unexpected from Angus.
Listen To A Brief Telling Of The Story Behind "Love Don't Let Me Down" By Titcomb,
Followed By An Acoustic Performance
Toronto-based singer/songwriter Liam Titcomb will release his full-length album Cicadaon Nettwerk Records on August 7, 2012. The album's first single, "Love Don't Let Me Down," is available now on iTunes.
Liam released his first album in Canada at the age of 16, and quickly became a presence in his home country, touring alongside established artists like Great Big Sea, Tom Cochrane, David Usher & Colin James. However, Cicada is his proper introduction to the rest of the world.
In 2010, shortly after ending an intense relationship, Titcomb stole away to London for a month-long songwriting retreat. Exploring everything the UK had to offer and forging some incredible friendships in the process, he hit his stride as a writer and began penning the material that would eventually become his latest offering.
"This is a fresh start," he says. "I'm ready to go after the whole globe. There's a little bit of everything on this album. It's bittersweet at times. It's fun at times. This is who I am at the end of the day. There's no persona. I try to be genuine. I make music because I love it."
"It's been a long and explorative journey for Hadouken! but tonight's Hottest Record sounds like they have found their natural home. Their position in bass culture is unique, bringing both the live element and credibility in the electronic music field together to create something unique in Bad Signal." - Zane Lowe, BBC Radio 1
On August 7th, Hadouken! will release “Bad Signal,” the latest single from their forthcoming studio album. Hadouken! is the band at the forefront of UK Bass, the most dominant and exciting sound happening on the Isles.
Bass is the underground club sound that has swallowed the mainstream, and as such, is the latest great British youth movement. Best known for their massive live shows, Hadouken! joins producers and DJs such as Chase & Status and Nero at the helm of Bass culture. During the last tour, fans were invited to bring their video cameras and record the performance, which the band stitched together to create and share a single live piece.
Radical Face, aka Ben Cooper, has premiered a new video for the song “We’re On Our Way” via FILTERMagazine.com. “This video came about a little differently than most that I do. “ Ben explains. “My friends and I like to do themed, ridiculous parties a couple times a year. This one was prompted by my brother, and the concept evolved from "we should have a food fight" to "we should dress as lords and ladies, stay in character for an entire day, and go do games around the city ... and then have a food fight." Dubbed the "Fancy Feast," Ben’s friend Michael Walter came out to shoot the day. Afterwards, Ben cut the footage into the highly entertaining video you see here.
“We’re On Our Way” was released on the deluxe edition of Radical Face’s sophomore album, The Family Tree: The Roots, in October of last year. The track is currently featured in the trailer for the film, “The Perks Of Being A Wallflower”, which premiered during the MTV Movie Awards. Not unfamiliar territory for Cooper, who has also had music featured in the film, “The Descendants” and “Salmon Fishing in Yemen”. Listening to The Family Tree, it is easy to understand why, with its lush instrumentation and Cooper’s inviting vocals. Cooper comes from a big family in Jacksonville, FL and still records in the toolshed of his mother’s house, a short drive from where he lives. That environment, with its comfort and intimacy comes through in every song.
Radical Face appeared on Last Call with Carson Daly last November. You check out the interview and performance here.

Already trending at #3, “Bad Signal” is the follow up track from the upcoming studio album, the first full-length release since 2010’s For The Masses. Previously, Hadouken! offered lead track, “Parasite,” as a free download on their site: www.hadouken.com/parasite. In the space of a month, “Parasite” has received over 60,000 downloads and the official video racked up 150,000 hits and growing.

"Rosenberg’s voice shimmers…” –- Rolling Stone Australia
UK-born, adopted Australian son Passenger (Mike Rosenberg) has signed to Nettwerk Records and will release his latest, already critically-lauded album, All The Little Lights, in North America on August 28, 2012. Additionally, the album’s lead single, “The Wrong Direction,” is available today in iTunes; the single comes bundled as a 4-track EP, and includes two acoustic songs (“Life’s for the Living” and “Feather On the Clyde”) as well as a live performance of fan favorite “I Hate” (Live from The Borderline London).
Recorded at Linear Studios in Sydney (Empire of the Sun and Josh Pyke), All The Little Lights is the most accomplished Passenger record to date. “It’s very different to [the last album] Flight Of The Crow,” says Rosenberg. “This one is a bigger production and a bit more modern sounding.” Sydney’s Sunday Herald Sun agrees, calling the album “a revelation” and adding, “Passenger has impressively travelled in a bolder direction to achieve a mature new album. (4/5 stars)”
Passenger just wrapped up the UK leg of his headline tour in support of All The Little Lights, which included sold-out dates in London, Brighton, Manchester, Cambridge, Southampton and Glasgow. From June 13 – July 15, he’ll be touring Europe for the first time in his career, and has already sold-out shows in Amsterdam and Copenhagen. This fall, Passenger support Ed Sheeran on his North American and UK tour dates, starting September 17th in Toronto. (Full list of North American dates below.)

Dispatch has unveiled the director's cut of the video for their song "Not Messin'" via their YouTube Channel. Directed by so pa Productions (Coachella & Bonnaroo documentaries, The Low Anthem, Alexi Murdoch), the video was shot at Mishnock Barn in West Greenwich, RI - home of the region's best line dancing. More than 150 enthusiastic fans responded to Dispatch's call out for extras, and arrived at the video shoot location in their best Country Western attire.
Mishnock Barn is a location hand picked by the band, as the barn is located next door to LakeWest Recording Studio where the band recorded their early albums Bang Bang, Four-Day Trials, and Who Are We Living For?. Mishnock Barn owners Dan and Kelly Albro recruited and taught their line dancing regulars to perform the line dance that made an appearance in the video. The storyline and concept was a collaboration between Dispatch members and so pa.
