Passenger's "Let Her Go" Continues To Climb UK Charts; North American Tour Dates Begin To Sell Out

Mike Rosenberg, aka Passenger, continues to climb the UK charts this week with his international hit single "Let Her Go" moving up to #2.  The single has already reached #1 on 14 different international charts, with its accompanying video (above) approaching 34 million YouTube views. This week's issue of Billboard Magazine featured the UK troubadour in its "Bubbling Under" column, in which the staff looks at new and noteworthy acts making their way towards major Billboard chart success. 

Passenger will return to North America for his largest headline tour of the territory to date, starting July 10 in Vancouver, BC.  Shows in San Diego, Boston, Montreal and New York City have already sold out. See all dates HERE.

The good people at SoulPancake recently released a documentary on Zach Sobiech, a 17 year old who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer that takes the lives of a large percent of its childhood victims. Given only months to live, Zach turned to music to say goodbye. His song "Clouds" spread virarlly, and soon, Zach's message was heard across the country. To thank Zach for his inspiring music and message, SoulPancake asked celebrity friends to participate in a special gift for him. Passenger Scores 10th #1 For "Let Her Go"; Song Added To UK's #1 Commercial Station, Heart FM

Mike Rosenberg, aka Passenger, continues his worldwide takeover with another #1 for "Let Her Go," this time in Denmark, which joins Australia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, and New Zealand.  Additionally, the Brighton-born troubadour is getting some well-earned attention from his home country.  Passenger received a glowing 4-star review from London's The Times during his sold-out headline tour earlier this year, and just this week saw "Let Her Go" added to Heart FM's A List.  Heart FM is the #1 commercial radio station in the UK, and nly two artists were added this week: Passenger and Rihanna. Passenger Announces North American Summer Tour; "Let Her Go" Up To 18.5 Million YouTube Views And #1 In Nine Countries

About four years ago, Mike Rosenberg took to the streets with nothing but his songs and his guitar in the hopes of financing an album and making some new fans. Mike Rosenberg (aka Passenger) began his Sunday Night Video Series 7 weeks ago. Every Sunday night, he shares with his fans a new video of an acoustic performance, each featuring a different special collaborator. Fans were ecstatic to see his latest post - a performance of "Hearts On Fire" with Ed Sheeran filmed at the O2 Arena in Dublin. Passenger's "Let Her Go" Topping Charts Across The World, Plus A Little Ed Sheeran Love!

Mike Rosenberg (aka Passenger) has been in the midst of a sold-out UK/European tour since the start of the new year, but his momentum on this side of the pond isn't slowing down. His album, All The Little Lights, is in its 25th straight week on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, with its second strongest sales week since its release in August. Single "Let Her Go" continues to sell more than 3,000 units a week, bringing total track sales to over 60,000 in the U.S., while the accompanying video now boasts more than 9 million views on YouTube (watch it here).

As Mike continues on his headline world tour, "Let Her Go" has reached #1 in Ireland, Holland, Sweden and Belgium, and is continuing to climb the charts in the UK and Germany. Next he'll head to Australia and then he'll hit the European festival circuit before making his way back to North America for more headline tour dates this summer.  See his current tour dates here

Meanwhile, his good friend Ed Sheeran, who Mike spent the better part of a year touring with as support, is currently touring North America with Taylor Swift. Passenger Enters 19th Straight Week On Billboard Chart At #7; Highest Chart Position To Date

After 19 straight weeks on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, Passenger's Nettwerk debut album, All The Little Lights, has landed at #7, its highest chart position to date. Additionally, the video for stand-out single, "Let Her Go," gained over 4 million YouTube in about six weeks, bringing the current total to 5.6 million views. Watch “Let Her Go” above. 

After a hugely successful support slot with Ed Sheeran throughout Europe and North American in the fall, Mike Rosenberg (aka Passenger) returned to North America for his first proper headline tour in December '12, selling out shows in Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Toronto and Vancouver. As the year came to a close, All The Little Lights was named by iTunes UK as the "Best Singer/Songwriter Album of 2012," while iTunes U.S. featured the album as a 2012 Chart Topper. "Let Her Go" appeared as on of Spotify's Top 10 Most Viral Tracks for the week of December 10.

Passenger will launch his sold-out headline UK tour this Sunday, January 13, and will spend the majority of winter touring through Europe before heading down to Australia in March. He plans to return to North America in spring 2013.
