Currently featured in Spin Magazine's October issue as a "Breaking Out" artist, Lissie made her late night debut a couple weeks ago on Last Call With Carson Daly with a stellar performance of "In Sleep" from her acclaimed debut full-length album Catching A Tiger. The performance and short interview segment were filmed live at her sold-out show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on October 13.
Nettwerk managed artist Lissie has been nominated in the category of "Best Breakthrough Act" for the Q Awards 2010, which will air Monday, October 25 in the UK. Other artists nominated for various categories include Florence And The Machine, Kasabian, Mumford & Sons, Muse, The xx, Gorillaz and Biffy Clyro.
Commenting on this year's nominees Q's Editor-In-Chief Paul Rees said, "This year more than ever, the Q Awards is honouring the people who've made the music that has mattered most in the past 12 months, as well as celebrating our musical icons. There are more voted-for awards than ever too, emphasising that the Q Awards, uniquely, are the people's choice. I'm delighted to say that the quality and variety of the acts nominated this year testifies strongly to the fact that music right now is as vibrant and exciting as it's ever been."
