Angus & Julia Stone Premiere New Video For "Hold On" And Announce October Dates

“They’re shedding new light on the intense but often subtle dynamics of male-female collaboration…Chart-toppers in their own country, the Stone siblings create the kind of music -- quiet, but driving, and rich with aura -- that turns casual listeners into cultish fans.” – LA Times

“Barefoot in a jade chiffon maxi dress, a flower in her hair, Julia looks like a young Loretta Lynn wafting around her first Glastonbury. Angus also sports a yellow bloom – in his trilby – but has the wild hair, beard and more earthy charms of Chas Hodges…watching the family Stone is like taking a minibreak – warm, intimate and inviting – you'll feel better for it.”– The Guardian (UK)

Indie-folk duo Angus & Julia Stone are set to return to North America this fall for headline tour dates that kick off with an appearance on KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” on October 4 and a show at Los Angeles’s El Rey on October 5. Full N. American tour dates are below. Check out what the UK press had to say after the Aussie bro/sis duo's sold-out show at the 2,000 capacity Shepherd Bush Empire on April 22:

“Angus and Julia Stone are a ridiculously talented Aussie bro and sis duo… The packed-out crowd hung on every ethereal folky gem.” -- Daily Star (UK)

“Angus & Julia Stone…have come of age with their second album, Down the Way...Peddling a soft-focused but sometimes surprisingly hard-edged brand of modern folk, the duo draws on elements of Americana filtered through an otherworldly sense of romantic wonder. The darkened Empire stage looked like an enchanted cave, with sprays of bright electric flowers, fairy lights and a heavy cloak of billowing mist. Julia, dressed in a flowing green dress, looked like a sea nymph as she danced barefoot around the stage. She sang the opening number, And the Boys, in a dark, quivering voice that had something of the hippy-siren quality of Stevie Nicks. Angus, who opted for a more agrarian look involving a battered hat and an untended beard, took over the singing for Yellow Brick Road, an aching acoustic-guitar lament that he delivered in a voice as keening and fragile as a desert wind.” –-The Times (UK)

Filter Magazine Premieres Angus & Julia Stone's Brand New Video For "Black Crow"

Our friends at Filter Magazine were nice enough to exclusively premiere the brand new video for "Black Crow" from Angus & Julia Stone's upcoming sophomore album Down The Way, out March 30. Watch the video above and check out the full post on FilterMagazine.com.  Fans can also purchase the recently released single at iTunes HERE

As reported by Filter, "Black Crow" was directed/animated by Nick Murray Willis, and is a reworking of one of an art school projects that Angus and Julia took a liking to. Here's the story according to Willis:
"In the late 80s/early 90s I grew up in the forests of Winnie the Pooh, South of England. After studying at Norwich Art School and doing an animation degree at Solent University I've spent the last few years working on various animation projects. The video for "Black Crow" is a remake of my degree film The Hatch, a bleak look at a prisoner trying to break out of his mundane world. Angus and Julia sent me the track for "Black Crow" and knowing they liked The Hatch I suggested editing a version to the song. Angus had a few ideas on the direction they wanted the video to go so I worked them in as well as I could and that's how the video came out."
