The Weepies

The Weepies recently announced a 2011 Acoustic Summer Tour of the US, which starts August 17 in Los Angeles at The Troubadour. This is the follow up to their sold-out 2010 tour in support of their latest critically-acclaimed album, Be My Thrill. The folk duo--Deb Talan and Steve Tannen--will be joined by bassist Johnny Flower on a series of intimate shows across the country. Keep reading for full list of tour dates. 

Folk-pop duo The Weepies recently premiered a new video for the track "Red Red Rose" from their latest full-length release Be My Thrill.  The critically acclaimed album debuted last year in the top 40 of the Billboard Top 200, as well as in the top 10 of the Digital Album Chart and #3 on the Folk Chart.  Check out the adorable video above and stay tuned for more news from The Weepies.

The Weepies' have released another video, this time for the track "Same Changes," featured exclusively in Paramount Pictures' film Morning Glory starring Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton.  The film was written by Aline Brosh McKenna and directed by Roger Michell. The video combines scenes from the film with the heart-warming animation that Weepies' fans have come to expect from the folk duo's visuals. This one even includes an animated version of Rachel McAdams' Morning Glory character! Check it out above.

Fans of The Weepies have come to expect heart-warming videos guaranteed to make them smile, and this new one does not disappoint.  As they reach the last two weeks of their nearly sold-out 35 city US tour, The Weepies have just released an adorable video (directed by Brad Aldous) for the song "Be My Honeypie" from their latest album Be My Thrill.

The Weepies' new single, "Same Changes," from Paramount Pictures' forthcoming film 'Morning Glory' starring Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton, is out today on iTunes. The gorgeous, shimmering song is featured in a pivotal scene with Rachel McAdams. 'Morning Glory,' out November 10, also stars Patrick Wilson and Jeff Goldblum. The film is written by Aline Brosh McKenna and directed by Roger Michell.

"Same Changes" will be available on all DSPs on November 9 and Entertainment Weekly.com (here) premiered a stream of the song yesterday.
